In Sorrento, a few steps from the main square, Piazza Tasso, the road runs for a while along a deep valley.
From the top you can see down to the bottom, amongst wild and enveloping vegetation, an old building between two streams that descend from the hills. For over two centuries, this place has attracted and inspired the people of Sorrento, as well as millions of guests.
This is “the valley of the mills.”
Its scenic beauty has fueled the imagination of all of Europe and generated the tourism fortunes of Sorrento.
